Join the Mass Protest in Toronto on Sept 14 at 6pm

Carney thinks he can invite those most responsible for global inequality and ecocide to Canada’s biggest city without mass opposition. He’s wrong.

Carney’s invited the world’s top 100 CEOs and investors to Toronto for a closed-door summit. The CEO summit symbolizes and will consolidates Carney’s militarist, ecocidal and anti-indigenous agenda.
The Prime Minister is pitching global capitalists “Canada, Inc.”, auctioning off the country’s assets at bargain prices. Want an airport, anyone? The former Goldman Sachs banker is continuing in his role as agent for global capital.
As workers struggle to pay the rent, Carney is rolling out the red carpet for the very capitalists who’ve turned housing into an investment asset. BlackRock’s Larry Fink, Blackstone’s Jon Gray and Barclay’s C.S. Venkatakrishnan will all be there. What’s presented as an “investment strategy” is really just a further consolidation of wealth and power at the top.
Our future should not be decided in private summits by the global rich. We demand economic democracy.
Join a mass protest at 6pm on September 14. It’s a Carnival Against Capitalism and march to the summit site.
Get creative. Bring props, banners and costumes. The bigger the spectacle, the harder we are to ignore.

Join us as we build a new socialist movement
Equipped with a policy book and a cross-country team of volunteers and supporters, we are now transitioning into a political organization that is unapologetically anti-capitalist, socialist and anti-imperialist.
We know that the crises facing society today require structural transformation, not piecemeal reform, and that only a radical, socialist, and anticolonial transformation will meet the needs of the many, rather than the few.

This policy platform emerged from a profoundly democratic process involving the contributions of 45+ activists, researchers, and community leaders.
The platform’s core promises are to fight unambiguously for workers’ interests against the billionaire class and to ensure public ownership of the major means of production, distribution and exchange, under workers’ control. It calls to redirect taxpayer funds away from militaristic expansion and extractive mega-projects, toward universal basic services and an environmentally conscious and democratically planned economy.
“We are told time and again that economic growth must come before investment in social services. In truth, the reverse is clear: neglecting people’s basic needs holds the economy back. Homelessness, crime, unemployment, and chronic illness all carry enormous social and financial costs. Sustainable economic growth depends on people being healthy, secure, and educated.”
- Public ownership of economy
- Public housing revolution
- Abolish student debt and tuition
- Canada out of NATO
- Merge major banks into a publicly-owned financial system that channels credit toward green development, worker cooperatives, social housing, and other public priorities.
- End Canadian complicity in genocidal wars, including prosecuting Canadians who fought for the Zionist state in Palestine and West Asia
- Indigenous sovereignty and Land Back
- Halt all tar sands projects and implement guaranteed Green Jobs program
- Justice for immigrant workers, refugees and international students
